Dangerous teeth whitening techniques have made the headlines yet again this week with the news that Amazon has withdrawn a DIY teeth whitening kit which has been found to contain sodium perborate.
This chemical has been banned in Europe as it can severely burn gums, or irreparably damage teeth. I was asked to comment on the dangers by the Mail Online and you can read more about it here.
Please remember that only registered dental professionals should be carrying out teeth whitening so, if you want a whiter smile, talk to your dentist about the clinically proven, safe methods open to you.
